FAQ

1.Q : What is the battery backup of a system?
Ans: Normally 24hr (v-cop Silver PSTN)/12Hr (V-cop silver-GSM) backup is provide (sensor supply is not provided by panel).
2.Q : Why motion sensors generate false alarms?
Ans: A motion detector may activate falsely due to improper installation of the device above a heater or furnace. Movement of objects such as balloons, blinds, and curtains within the range of a motion detector may also trigger alarm activation. The motion detector may require relocation or adjustment by a Response Alarms technician. The batteries may also be weak
3.Q : Can i set Alarm at night?
Ans: Yes, System is work on two mode. First is all arming mode and second is perimeter arming. In night if you have required to set the system is in alarm mode so select the “perimeter Arming” of the system. (Yes, and we always advise you do. We can program the system to include only those areas of the premises that you want protected and exclude others for the ‘night’ setting. It is more disturbing to be burgled when you are asleep then when you are out of the house!)
4.Q : Is it possible to connect two locks or two readers on single connector?
Ans: Do not connect 2 locks or 2 readers together on a single connector. A single lock connector can safely drive 600 MA current. If load current increases beyond 1A, that may cause hardware problems.
5.Q : The door with EML lock is opening without flashing card or finger?
Ans: This happens due to improper door alignment with the armature plate and the EML lock. Put more packing behind the armature plate and door frame. Also increase the door closure speed. This may be happens due to drop in voltage and current supply. Use higher rating power supply i.e. 12V 2 amps.
6.Q : Q: Blank display on controller LCD?
Ans: Check Power supply voltage available on controller. it must be 12 V.
7.Q : Access card is not working after showing on reader?
Ans: Check reader compatibility with card i.e. EM/smartcard "Mifare"/HID Prox/HID Iclass. Use same type of card as per reader. Check for loose contacts on the reader port. Check Voltage on reader end. Apart from above check D1 and D0 properly connected or not.
8.Q : Why does it fail to preview the picture?
Ans: Possible causes: a. CCD camera is not power on or there is something wrong with video wire (or not well connected, loosened or broken), b. Setting error of IP address and related channel number, or wrong protocol selection (at present do not support MCAST), please check "local setting", c. video server is shutdown or starting up, please use PING command of the operation system to check, Note: A Chinese terminal can be connected to Console port of the equipment. After diagnosis mode of the system set, you can see various promoting message of system running.
9.Q : What's the possible reason of mosaic in monitoring picture?
Ans: a. Please check the utilization ratio of system CPU. If the average value is more than 60%, then it indicates that too much thread are opened for the system, and the CPU is overload. b. Please check the network bandwidth.
10.Q : Black screen appears in monitoring picture, what's the reason?
Ans: Check whether the video signal of video server is normal or not.
11.Q : Does hard disk installation support hot-plug function, and does it requires jumper settings?
Ans: When installing hard disk, jumpers should be set and make one of the disks as the maser disk and the other as standby. And it can not be hot inserted or pulled. If you need to replace the disk, you should shut down the machine.
12.Q : What's the difference between Hardware Compression and Software Compression?
Ans: Hardware Compression: Both Capturing Video Signal and Compressing Video Signal are done by DSP chipset integrated on DVR Board. It doesn't need the computer's CPU to do this work. It's low cost of CPU and RAM resources. In this system the computer CPU's task focus on answering network request, streaming the video/audio to network and saving recorded data to local hard disk. Software Compression: The DVR Board only capture video signal but doesn't compress it, it is the computer CPU and RAM to do this compression work. It's high cost of CPU and RAM resources. In this system the computer CPU and RAM are often overloaded. It is easier to crash than hardware compression system.
